Model Availability
Only Honda Pilots from 2023 or newer come with Wireless Apple CarPlay.

Some base models (LX, Sport) of the Honda Pilot from 2023 to 2025 do not support wireless CarPlay; only the wired version is supported.

How to Convert

For the 2023 or newer Honda Pilot LX and Sport, as well as the 2017–2022 models, Apple CarPlay is already included, but it still requires a cable to connect. Fortunately, with an adapter, you can upgrade it to Wireless Apple CarPlay.
For 2016 Honda Pilots or older models, built-in Apple CarPlay functionality isn’t available. Therefore, the only way to get the Wireless Apple CarPlay feature is by replacing the stereo system
2017 – 2022 Honda Pilot
If you have a 2017–2022 Honda Pilot, your car already has Apple CarPlay built in (except for the LX trim). To make it wireless, all you need is an adapter. This also applies to the 2023 or newer Honda Pilot LX and Sport trims.
You can purchase an adapter online, and the setup is quite easy. However, not all adapters sold online are of good quality — some aren’t even worth buying.

The only way to get Wireless Apple CarPlay in these SUVs is to replace the original stereo system with an aftermarket head unit.
