2026 Honda Pilot Colors (100+ Photos)

The 2026 Honda Pilot is getting a mid-cycle refresh. It features several updates to both the exterior and interior.

One of the changes for the 2026 Honda Pilot is an update to the exterior color options.

For the 2026 model year, Honda dropped some colors and introduced new ones.

A total of 8 colors are available for the 2026 Honda Pilot, including:

  • Crystal Black Pearl
  • Smoke Blue Pearl
  • Modern Steel Metallic
  • Solar Silver Metallic
  • Platinum White Pearl (+$455)
  • Ash Green Metallic (+$455)
  • Sonic Gray Pearl (+$455)
  • Radiant Red Metallic II (+$455)

Keep reading because I’ll go into more detail about each color, including its availability across Honda Pilot trim levels.

Crystal Black Pearl

Well, let’s start with a “boring” car color: black!

For the 2026 Pilot, Honda still offers black, and it looks like this color will remain available for years to come.

Honda calls it Crystal Black Pearl; the “pearl” in the name indicates that it’s not just ordinary black. The color’s characteristics give this three-row SUV a premium, deep, and rugged look.

The addition of a “pearl” layer to the paint creates a slightly holographic, shimmering effect when hit by the sunlight. It’s so satisfying.

When exposed to direct sunlight, it displays a strong shimmer; however, in the shade or at night, the black becomes a solid, deep, and elegant shade. This shift in the color’s character is quite appealing to some people.

  • When I bought this new 2025 Touring, I also bought my wife a new Pilot Black Edition. I was initially a bit jealous of hers, because even though I’m not typically an SUV fan, that Black Edition looks so damn good in Crystal Black Pearl.

However, a black color like this comes with a trade-off: the deep, dark hue makes fine scratches more noticeable. I’ve found that the paint on most Honda vehicles is soft, making it very prone to scratches. This applies to the Honda Pilot as well—even improper washing can leave swirl marks.

My advice: if you get a Pilot in Crystal Black Pearl, immediately apply a ceramic coating to the paint. It helps protect the paint from fine scratches and makes it shine even more.

Smoke Blue Pearl

Smoke Blue Pearl is one of the new colors Honda added to the 2026 Pilot — and it seems like this is meant to replace Obsidian Blue Pearl, which is no longer in the lineup.

But don’t expect it to look anything like Obsidian Blue Pearl, or any traditional dark blue for that matter. Smoke Blue Pearl is actually more of a metallic gray with a subtle blue tint to it, topped off with a really reflective pearlescent finish.

To be honest, this color looks like a perfect match for the rugged character of the 2026 Honda Pilot, with its sharp body lines.

Visually, Smoke Blue Pearl looks like concrete gray in low light. But as soon as it catches the sunlight, those blue pearl flakes just pop. It’s truly impressive.

Besides that, I’ve also found that this color does a pretty good job of hiding dirt and light scratches, which certainly makes maintenance easier.

Modern Steel Metallic

Modern Steel Metallic has been part of the Honda Pilot’s color lineup for over a decade. Honestly? Kind of a legend at this point.

That said, I’ll admit — sometimes I get a little tired of seeing it everywhere. LOL

Don’t get me wrong though, it’s still a fantastic color, especially on an SUV like the Pilot.

What makes it stand out is that it doesn’t do that whole “shift in tone depending on the light” thing like pearl-finish paints do. Instead, you get this consistent, mechanical charcoal gray that just works — it highlights the car’s body lines really nicely.

It gives the 2026 Pilot this rugged, industrial, almost tank-like vibe. Like, this thing means business.

Oh, and practical bonus — it hides fine scratches and dust like a champ. I actually own a Honda MPV in this color, and let’s just say I don’t wash it as often as I probably should. LOL

Even after all these years, I genuinely think Modern Steel Metallic isn’t going anywhere. If anything, it’s becoming the new black — that one timeless color that never really goes out of style.

Solar Silver Metallic

Solar Silver Metallic is a new color in the 2026 Honda Pilot color lineup. This color replaces Lunar Silver Metallic.

Solar vs. Lunar = Sun vs. Moon. Is that right?

That’s an interesting name, isn’t it?

It turns out it’s not just a name. Both are silver colors, but they have different characteristics.

Solar Silver Metallic features a very rich metallic finish, resulting in a silver hue that is highly reflective and exceptionally bright, much like the sun (solar).

On the other hand, Lunar Silver Metallic has a darker, more subdued silver character, perhaps reminiscent of the moon (lunar).

The distinct silver characteristics of Solar Silver Metallic effectively highlight the car’s body contours and create sharper body lines.

This color is also a champion at hiding dust and scratches. It cleverly masks dry dust and rain splatter marks—something that might be appreciated by some people who are a bit too lazy to wash their cars, like me.

Platinum White Pearl

Platinum White Pearl is a legendary color that has been available in Honda’s vehicle lineup for years.

I’ll admit, this color is truly captivating.

Unlike ordinary white paint, its pearl finish offers a luxurious look that radiates a clean, warm, and very elegant white hue.

I love how, in the shade or on a cloudy day, the white color looks rich and deep, making the car look expensive.

Platinum White Pearl is a premium color; you’ll need to pay $455 to add it to your Honda Pilot at the time of purchase.

But honestly, even though Platinum White Pearl is a great color, I don’t feel it suits the rugged, angular design of the 2026 Honda Pilot.

I think this color is better suited for the Honda HR-V and CR-V.

Funny thing is, my wife is absolutely crazy about the Platinum White Pearl Honda HR-V. She always says, “What a nice car,” whenever she sees one on the street. LOL

Ash Green Metallic

This is a new and exclusive color!

Ash Green Metallic is a new color added to the 2026 Honda Pilot, and is available exclusively for the TrailSport trim.

This color appears to replace Diffused Sky Blue Pearl, which was also exclusive to the 2023–2025 Honda Pilot TrailSport.

Ash Green Metallic is a color with a strong character. Unlike traditional dark green or military green, this color takes a modern, organic aesthetic approach—it’s like a blend of dark sage green and gray, with a fairly intense metallic finish.

Under soft lighting, the green appears deep and serene, but when hit by sunlight, the metallic flecks lift the green hue, making it appear fresher and more lustrous.

Given that it’s exclusively on the TrailSport — a trim literally built for the outdoors — this color just makes total sense. It feels intentional, like Honda really thought about the trim’s personality when they picked it.

One thing to keep in mind though: on top of being TrailSport-only, you’ll also need to add $455 to your budget to get it. But in my opinion? Totally worth it. The exclusivity alone makes it special.

Sonic Gray Pearl

When Ash Green Metallic is one of the most distinctive colors in the 2026 Pilot’s lineup, Sonic Gray Pearl isn’t far behind.

Sonic Gray Pearl is a cement-gray paint with a subtle hint of blue. Its finish features a pearlescent material that shimmers intensely when hit by light.

Viewed from a distance, or in low-light conditions, this color appears as a gray with an industrial feel. When exposed to direct sunlight, the pearl particles reflect a bluish hue, and from certain angles, a soft greenish tint is also visible.

It’s one of those colors that keeps surprising you the more you look at it.

Overall, Sonic Gray Pearl is a color that’s a perfect fit for the 2026 Honda Pilot’s design; it gives the SUV a strong, rugged character.

The downside? It’s not a free upgrade — you’re looking at an extra $455 to get it on your Pilot.

Radiant Red Metallic II

With Diffused Sky Blue Pearl gone, Radiant Red Metallic II is pretty much the only bold, vibrant option left in the 2026 Pilot’s color lineup. And honestly, it’s carrying that role well.

Radiant Red Metallic II isn’t a new color; it’s been around since the very first generation of the fourth-generation Honda Pilot.

It’s not a tacky, childish red; Radiant Red Metallic II is a deep, mature red that’s elegant and exudes an aura of luxury.

Personally, I think it looks stunning on the Pilot, especially when paired with 20-inch gloss black wheels. That combo just takes the whole thing up a notch — it looks expensive in the best possible way.

And if you’re fed up with the sea of gray, white, and silver cars that seem to dominate every parking lot right now, this is your color. Radiant Red Metallic II will absolutely turn heads when you drive past.

The premium for all that? $455 added to your purchase price.

Discontinued Colors

For 2026, Honda is dropping two colors from the Pilot’s lineup: Diffused Sky Blue Pearl and Lunar Silver Metallic.

Diffused Sky Blue Pearl, which was previously the TrailSport’s exclusive “adventure” color, is being replaced by the new Ash Green Metallic — which, if you ask me, is a worthy successor.

As for Lunar Silver Metallic — that darker silver that sometimes looked more gray than silver — it’s also out. Its replacement is Solar Silver Metallic, which keeps the silver theme going but turns up the brightness quite a bit. Think less “dark and moody,” more crisp and clean silver.

What color is best for the 2026 Honda Pilot?

So there you have it — the 2026 Honda Pilot comes in 8 colors, all of them pretty solid choices. Classics like Modern Steel Metallic and Platinum White Pearl are still in the mix, while Diffused Sky Blue Pearl has officially been retired.

Out of the eight, four are premium colors that’ll cost you an extra $455. And one of those is both premium and exclusive: Ash Green Metallic, which is strictly for the TrailSport trim.

Now, the big question — which color is the best?

Honestly, it’s all about what you like. But if you’re putting a gun to my head, here’s where I land: if I’m going TrailSport, I’m getting Ash Green Metallic, no question.

For any other trim? I’d go Sonic Gray Pearl if I’m okay spending the extra $455, or Smoke Blue Pearl if I want to keep it at the standard price. Why those two? I just like them. Simple as that. Besides that, both colors are better at hiding dirt and minor scratches.

At the end of the day, there’s no “right” or “wrong” color when it comes to cars. It’s just about whichever one puts a smile on your face every time you walk up to it.
